Victorian Christmas...

So today was our Victorian Christmas day – mulled wine, mince pies, pianist and cello, and costumes.

So here I am all the Victorian shopkeeper. Bowler hatted, bow tied, all be braced, aproned, moustachioed - and with a pillow that’s taken me years to grow stuffed up my shirt.

I just love dressing up.

Well even the glass meister has to let his hair down sometimes.

  1. Whilst I (rather fatuously) commented in "the other place" that the mental image you put in my mind made me think of "A Clockwork Orange" (if you'd just added a hint of Beethoven), I'm now reminded of an episode of a sixties adventure series - possibly "The Avengers" - where high powered businessmen were found disguised as clowns and working in the circus...

You are obviously John Steed working undercover and I claim my ten shillings. Cheques accepted.

Hope you had an enjoyable (and profitable) day. It certainly looks as if you ought to have. M.

Today I am mainly wearing a bowler hat, a black bow tie, a white apron, a waistcoat that doesn't quite fit, a pocket watch, braces, and a variety of stick on moustaches.

    Merry Dickensian Christmas.
