For those of you that liked the picture in my Oberon and Titania post here's another by the same painter - Edward Robert Hughes. It's called Twilight Fantasy.

I'd be interested in what you think of it.

  1. Sorry in my present mood, the Pre Raphaelites do not do an awful lot for me.Actually that isn't true, never really too keen.
Now Edvard Munch's The Scream is more up my street. I have rather amusing card pinned to my notice with Snoopy taking the place of the screaming woman.Well it makes me laugh.

  2. Senora, but what is being wrong with your mood? And, what about me, Salvador, the great and one and only? Am I not the greatest of all artists? When I paint, the sea roars. The others simply splash about in the bath.

I spit on the Pre-Rapaelites and the symbolists alike. Drawing is the honesty of the art. There is no possibility of cheating. It is either good or bad. I am good and they are bad!

    Cheer yourself... drink wine.

I have visited your gallery in St Petersburg, Fl and you really do roar.
I used to spit on chemical engineers, but
it is the Pre Raphaelites turn now.
I like life warts and all,non of this fairy like, rose tinted lies for me.
