This is Debby’s fish - Fido. Yes, I know Fido is an odd name for of fish, more of a dog’s name, but Debby always wanted a puppy. Thing is, dogs often chase ducks and that would have been a bad idea - so Debby had to settle for a fish. Besides, they have such a lot in common; they swim, eat the same food, and compliment each other in colour terms. I really can’t see Debby, fetching a stick, gnawing on bones, and covered in thick brown hair – can you?They seem to be having a good long chat. I wonder what they're talking about?

ReplyDeleteBut...I think there could be trouble ahead. Fido's underwater home gives him the perfect opportunity to see what's going on 'round the back of the pond' when nobody is around and nobody knows he's there. Maybe he's seen Dubby and Delilah? Maybe he knows something? Maybe that's what they're talking about?
